So, my Nepenthes is in a pretty small pot, however, I understand that they can be that way. But what I'm thinking is, if I put them in a bigger pot, won't they grow larger? Or should I keep them in there small pot until they start producing pitchers..?
Hey all.
I have a young nepenthes from Lowe's that was marked ventricosa and it does have one true pitcher that looks like a ventricosa, but it has another pitcher that looks more ventrata like.
Here's the ventricosa-like pitcher.
And here's the ventrata-like pitcher.
Which...
Hi all,
We've got a ginormous N. maxima encroaching on the Sarrs, and I assure you that the Nepenthes is going to lose the fight for space here. It's going to get some love that only a pair of pruners can give. The clone was purchased in the 90s from Wistuba by a friend of mine. I've been...
I currently reside in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Zone 9.
Only until recently have I been intrigued by the beauty of carnivorous plants. Now, I have a chance to grow my own! Hoping to become a vigorous part of the community. I'm also interested in Peppers. Peppers being...
I suppose it's about time so I'll start with some recent pictures. Quite a few actually.
Plants waking up outdoors.
Some native Oregon sphagnum I'm growing with the outdoor plants, covered with netting to discourage those pesky birds.

Hello everyone. I have been in the chat and lurking around a bit so thought I'd finally put together an intro thread. I'm just starting to get into carnivores aside from some success with Nepenthes before and a failure with Darlingtonia outdoors over winter some years back. I have a 4ft T5...
Hey folks -
There are a few plants that I am looking to trade with. I have:
Seed-grown N. attenboroughii (multiple)
Seed-grown N. cecilae (last one I am going to trade)
Rooted basal of N. glandulifera (small)
A few small typical Cephalotus rooted divisions
I will consider any...
I love going up to the LACPS meets cuz I get to go up and meet up with Not a Number, so I headed up today to go say hi! Usually I bring some stuff up, but I had to go empty-handed today because nothing I've got in propagation right now has the proper amount of roots. The meet was at UC...
Hey all.
I recently found out about the nepenthes hybrid 'Peter D'amato' and was wondering how difficult it is to care for. I know that it's a cross between lowii and ventricosa and thought that it's ventricosa genes might mean that it's fairly easy to care for. Anyone who grows this hybrid...
Hi recently my Nepenthes bellii x robcantleyi appears to have some sort of problem. Its new growth on the last couple of leaves has begun to become stunted and the two newest leaves haven't really developed properly. There is like a brown rust like colouration on the new leaves and near the base...
I'm hoping some of the more experienced Heliamphora growers can give me some help with this.
I'm currently growing two Heliamphora both of which I received at the same time. H. ionasii x heterodoxa has been growing well for me producing large mature pitchers, but H. uncinata has struggled to...

Hey, everyone. I have questions about the Maxsea fertilizer. I had heard about it on this site. I know I hadn't see it at my local stores, so I went to my trusty amazon.com account and found a 1.5lb container of the 16-16-16 for $19.98 and free shipping. I don't know if that's a deal, but it...
I have a small collection of cephalotus. The problem is though I tend to pay more attention to my nepenthes and so my ceph
s get neglected. They seem to be doing ok but I have decided to take better care of them starting now. Usually I don't check them or water them for weeks at a time, but they...
