Hi there this is my first time posting here. I'm over the other side of the pond in Edinburgh.
I bought a n x bill Bailey in 2012 in a small bio dome which contained two small plants, from a very reputable cp nursery in the uk who buy direct from BE. It is flowering for the first time this...
Was doing my fertilizing today so I decided to take some pics as well,
N. robcantleyi
N. truncata "red flush highland"
N. veitchii x burbidgeae
I'm really into N. peltata right now but mine is in an awkward place to take pictures so these are the best I can do. My pelota is doing...
So last night I was feeling well and decided to try my hand at tissue culture. I sowed 3 tubes each of D.regia, N.talangensis x aristolochiodes, and N.globosa seeds.
I have not attempted plant tissue culture before but I'm a lab scientist so I'm familiar with the technique. I'll keep this...
Posting some of my Nepenthes photo shots in my collection.

This was my first Nepenthes that I bought to see how well I could grow one. As I discovered, like most CPs, the difficulty of growing them is exaggerated and I have acquired several others since but have never positively identified this one. So have at it, Nepenthes experts!
Pitchers are...
Hey all,
I noticed there's a few of you in here from around the Portland, OR area, so I'll be one more to the party!
Scatterpants and I are good friends and have been feeding each others plant addictions the last few months, particularly in the CP/orchid area.
While he tends to focus more on...
Nepenthes [((lowii x veitchii) x boschiana) x (maxima x mira)] from Exotica plants. A plant I got a year ago or so but it took a long time to produce a pitcher. This is the second time to make one but it has two more pitcher coming up. The wait is worth it.

I purchased this plant this week as Nepenthes distillatoria, but it looks rather different from pictures of distillatoria online, especially with the upper half of the pitcher being mottled. Anyone know what it could be? Unfortunately there is only one pitcher on the plant.
I have a female N. Spendiana x Ventricosa (Mata Hari) desperately in need of some pollen. This will be my first attempt at pollinating a nepenthes flower.
I'm willing to do a 50/50 split on the seeds.
Thanks in advance,
Randy
]I am not sure if this forum or the trading post is more appropriate but I have some Nepenthes Pollen...particularly N. ventricosa hot lips x ventricosa red flower spike and currently about 1/4 of the flowers already opened up. This is my 1st flower so I was wondering what is the most way to...
Here are a few pictures of the result of a Nepenthes cutting I rooted last year. Unfortunately in the process of receiving it and splitting the cutting with another local grower, the tag was lost. The cutting was obtained from Whimgrinder. I'm very sure that it is a plant with a latin name -...
Hi. I'm looking to trade some nepenthes plants for some lowland or intermediate/lowland nepenthes plants.
What I have to offer:
N. Ampullaria x Ventricosa "Lady Luck" 17 inch leaf span
N. Spathulata x Campanulata 7 inch leaf span with 2 pitchers
N. Spathulata x Diatas 8 inch leaf span with...
This post is in regard to the members who I talked with
about taking nepenthes pods and sarracenia pitchers and drying them
so the colors and beauty of said traps would be preserved.
I found this on ebay with recipe included.
Nepenthes Rafflesiana Dried Pitchers for Decoration X2 | eBay
I don't know what got into my head that day, but I decided to order a mix some Nepenthes seeds from eBay in January. I received them about 3 weeks later. When I got them, I knew there was no way they could still be viable. I sowed them anyway. I sowed almost all of the seeds on chopped LFS and...
I was wondering those of you that have seen nepenthes in situ, how are the seedlings germinating and reaching maturity in the wild do you think?
The reason I ask is because it seems I have to be quite diligent with my tiny seedlings and about every two or three weeks carefully remove any of the...
Hey everybody that actually reads this! I've collected orchids for a while and within the last year and a half have been collecting CPs. I saw some sarracenia minor in situ and fell in love with them. Before long I had a decent collection but gravitated to nepenthes mostly only in the last 6...
Hello guys,
What is going on with this ventrata?... i give it 5 hours of direct sunlight and it is standing next to a sanguinea and a rebecca soper that look good. Some time ago I had problems with its pitchers not totally forming and leaves all green, now it's the complete oposite: dark big...

Hi,
this is sorta my introduction to these forums. My name is Benyamin, I'm from The Netherlands. I used to have a pretty nice collection of the crazy monsters amongst the peaceful leafs. :) About ten years ago my...
I've been growing this odd hybrid and I was wondering who else is? I'd love to see what everyones looks like. Mine is still small but has put on some good size in the last few months.
That largest pitcher is about 4-5". Has anyone observed uppers on this plant yet?
