I have a 10+ in. N. x Miranda (N. (maxima x northiana) x maxima??) unrooted basal cutting. To follow are pictures of the parent plant (unknown sex), and then the cutting. You can see this is a...
Hi all,
I thought I'd post some pictures of my indoor setup, which is a windowsill setup and a desk setup.
Complete setup:
Windowsill setup:
For this setup I constructed two large rectangular containers that fit nicely on my windowsill. I then mounted the smaller one above the bigger...
Greetings all,
I am procrastinating right now and avoiding responsibility for just a few more minutes so I thought I would make a list of some of the carnivorous plants I think are best to start with- a long with some comments. This list is meant to be pretty general and is perhaps USA centric...
There's several ways to do it but this is my way.
I received some N. rafflesiana "Black Speckle" seeds from eBay. I also received N. alata 'giant' x N. 'Miranda' seeds locally.
The first thing I do is prepare 1 cup of rain water. About 10ppm or less water quality.
I add clonex fertilizer...

i got this awhile ago at my local home depot, and i was going to make a thread about it then, but i kept forgetting to upload the pics, but whatever, here it is now!
three of the pitchers were a little damaged, two were un-damaged, two were dried up, an one had yet to open(since then, it has!)...
I have had no real photo thread in the past. Having been in the hobby for a while now, it seems appropriate to have a place just to spew a few photos every now and again. So without further ado...

So I've been trying to grow my N. x Miranda outdoors with only limited success. Back in January, the plant was exposed to temps in the upper 30s fahrenheit and cold rain during one night while I was out of town and it very quickly lost a bunch of leaves. I've been trying to rehabilitate it by...
Not often that I post pics on the forums, so I thought I'd add in a few things:
Everyone's probably seen my N. rafflesiana in the POTM thread, so I'll start with N. ampullaria 'Harlequin'
Followed by N. spectabilis "giant"
And an 8 1/2" pitcher from N. 'Miranda'. I know it doesn't measure up...

Hi everyone my name is Marta I. I have this passion for CP's for around 3 years and my first aquisition was a N. Ventrata . Since then I felt in love for Nepenthes, I tried to grow other Cp's (Dioneia, Droseras etc...) but I really genuinely prefer NEPENTHES!!!!
I have all of them growing in a...
Hola, amigos y amigas!
Today I noticed a good sized basal on my miranda that I had not seen before. Four inches or so, tip to tip, or thereabouts. I can feel its connection to the plant just below the top of the soil, and think there should be some attached roots as it is partially buried...
