So my collection has essentially tripled in size over the past few weeks and I'm running out of window space for my neps...I need a grow rack. The local lowes still has a few indoor greenhouses similar to this...
I had to revamp my circulation bog. I wanted a way to be able to keep the plants separate and in their own pots so there wouldn't be plants running over each other as they grow. After looking at the pictures Chistof posted from the nursery he recently went to with SeedJar, I started thinking...
I recently received a Venus Flytrap and Drosera Spatulata in the mail. They both came pretty banged up. I left them in a bowl of distilled water for about two days, and transplanted both the drosera and flytrap in a clay pot (two separate pots) using only long fiber sphagnum moss.
A few...
So my local Lowes finallly got some CPs in...picked up a purp, VFT, and a S. rubra which is a new one for me. They aren't in great shape and right now are in a more shaded area of my 15 gallon, in standing water.
A couple questions...
1) Media: Looks like they're in straight up LFS right now...
I have yet to ever do a real photo thread regarding my outdoor plants, so please see below! Feedback and questions are certainly appreciated! Large mix of plants in here.

Last April Lowes were selling some carnivorous plants from Gubler Nursery, including what appeared to be S alabamensis ssp. wherryii, or known as S. rubra ssp. wherryii here in the Phoenix area in Arizona.
Today I discovered again Lowes is selling Saracenias in these one gallon pots. These...
I bought this plant from Lowes and attempted to do a transplant into a bigger pot, is it big enough? The peat moss I bought came in a huge bag, does this stuff go bad? Thanks for any info..
Three years ago, I picked up a sundew at Lowes on impulse. I ended up growing it in a terrarium with fir bark in the bottom (I know better now, don't worry.). Earlier this year, I decided to make a much more informed attempt at growing carnivorous plants, and transferred them into plastic pots...
I dunno if this is common knowledge or what, but I figured i'd share this.
So I went to Lowes looking for a few things, including the cheap little plastic seedling pots most places carry.. And after a thorough inspection, found out Lowes didnt carry them. So I grabbed a big bag of sand and...
So the lowes in my the small town I go to school in had smaller Orchids, out of bloom, for $3 each! They had like 10, I picked up the healthiest 2 for my girlfriend, they look good!
I saw the thread about using Glacier water vending machines outside some grocery stores and decided I'd go and test one. I went up to the machine, popped a quarter in and filled a cup to test while the rest of the water went into a jug. My TDS meter read a luxurious 3ppm. And this was a whole 7...
I snapped up this Lithops at a local nursery, but it didn't come with an ID ("Lithops species," gee thanks :lac: ) I've been poring through the forum and I now understand that one of them is stacked. Swords, it will take me days and days to get through all the info you've deposited here, it's...
So, I've recently decided to try my hand at orchids. So far I'm doing alright. I have two phals that I got at lowe's from the clearance rack. The leaves are a bit dark on one so I'm wondering if my lighting will be adequate to bring it back to excellent health. I've read a few care guides online...
Please help i bought a greenhouse about 4-5 months ago from Lowe's and now the plastic is starting to rip from the seams that hold each corner together. They were tiny rips so i didn't worry much but i still would like to fix does anyone have a solution or remedy for that problem? OK now for the...
Picked this VFT up today. Couldn't stop myself, again. My Pitcher Plant that I got from the same store is doing well, so I thought why not try again. This one doesn't look as good as the Pitcher Plant, but I have faith that Washington is going to help haha. Also Lowes has changed the style of...
Hey all. I coaxed my first Nepenthes into flowering. Of course it had to be what looks like a N. ventricosa that I rescued from a Lowe's deathcube.
Would anyone like the pollen for a cross? If not, I'll take advice on how to ship pollen properly.
Here are some images of the plant:

My parents are too scared to order off online suppliers of CP because they are too scared about identity theft. they only order form big chain companies none of which are CP nurseries. I am restricted to the plants at lowes and at local nurseries. :censor:
can anyone provide suggestions for...
