Would anyone know if it is possible to cross these two? As they are flowering at the same time, I said to myself, that could make a cool cross, as they are very similar in shape, pincushion type when mature, yet one is thick furry, the other, thin like binata... The only other cross I've ever...
hello all,
for the past odd years of raising carnivorous plants, i've always noticed that when following the potted terrarium method, many people use pots that have drainage holes at the bottom. i know drainage holes are an necessity for certain species of carnivorous plants like Nepenthes, but...

I have many butterworts, a few sundews, and a few basic utrics to trade.
So a while back I posted a couple threads asking about a cross between D. lanata and D. kenneallyi. Here is the sole result (so far). This is the only seedling I've found since I sowed the seeds. Unless kenneallyi decided to self pollinate, this should be legit.

Hi Guys,
I just got a new fresh package with 3 new plants, one of them including D. Lanata.
Ok so I hear petiolaris complex dews are pretty finicky! is this true, what are good ways to care for a lanata?
Here's my Lanata:
I have a D. lanata that is flowering. A second scape also developed. Both scapes are concurrently flowering and I've actually been home to see the flowers opened up. So I did my valliant best to get then pollinated. Was this a waste of time?

Hello Friends,
Here's a few decent macro shots of my Drosera lanata "wooly" in flower. This is truly the "hairiest" form of this species I've ever grown, which is why it was selected as one of the parents in the Drosera kennealyi X Drosera lanata hybrid I made last year. Please enjoy! :)...

I'm pleased to announce the successful crossing of my Drosera kennealyii X Drosera lanata "wooly" :)
The one supposed photo of such a cross in Bob Z's CP photobase doesn't quite show enough traits of both proposed parents, so it's authenticity is quite questionable, in my opinion. You will in...
I have a D. lanata that is now sending up a scape. I understand that Petiolaris Complex require another plant to pollinate. I'm hoping that anything in the fishtank will also flower, but so far nothing is inclined to do so. Is it possible to cut the stamens and preserve the pollen?
