Here's my first Ping's flower. I never got an ID from the vendor, I'm thinking P. 'Tina' from studying a bunch of photos in from the cp photo finder. Can I get a confirmation or is it something else?
I've been rearranging my terrarium so that some of my plants can get more light. I took out all the plants that were planted into the moss, because I simply don't have room for them unless they are in pots with other plants. I had one D. prolifera growing in the moss and it never did as well...
While I've been growing this cultivar for over a year, the original plant has been consumed with moss and refuses to bloom. This fall, I had an opportunity to get a 'new' plug from Europe and jumped at the chance. The new divisions, mostly unencumbered by moss, have prospered and flowered ...
I'm thinking of using some U. pubescens in a project tank, but I need to know how tall the flower stalks can/do get. From the photo's I can find through the internet they seem short. Anyone flowered this one that remembers the how high they got?
I'm slowly sorting through all my sundew pics and have narrowed it down to the ones I like. I'm still in the process of sorting and uploading them, so I will be posting a few more times throughout the rest of the break. Here are a few of my favorites:
Drosera brevifolia from Hampstead, NC...
When my D. capensis first flowered, I had some trouble determining whether or not there were seeds in there. I found some "dust" in one of the dried up flowers, but assumed that couldn't have been seed, so I tossed it. I had trouble, too, finding a picture with a description of the seeds online...

Finished cleaning a much overgrown pond last weekend and have some spare rhizomes from the water lilies. These are hardy water lilies (at least to zone 5) and may be either white, yellow or pink flowered...they've spread between pots over time so I don't really know what color the divisions are...

I am looking for a nice Sarr. minor. I have for trade Sarr 'Scarlet Belle' and a Sarr. 'Lady Bug'. Both are mature plants, the 'Lady Bug' flowered for me this year. Both are very attractive plants, they are just taking up to much room in my limited growing area. If anyone is interested in a...

In my little weedy section of Utrics (non-Orchidioides), I have several that have yet to share their flowers with me. I have read about some methods which include flooding, drying out, repotting and changing photoperiod. I would like to hear from some folks who have successfully flowered any of...
