Hello,
I managed to grow a few Drosera rotundifolia plants from seed.
They've been doing nicely outside under sheltered sunlight since their sowing (I'm in temperate zone so climate fits their needs), never kept them inside a dome (so that I wouldn't have to worry about mold) but always used...

Yesterday I made the trek up to LA from San Diego to attend their Annual Huntington Botanical Gardens meet. On the itinerary: scope out the members displays, sales and give-aways (and ditch a pile of cuttings :-P-:), go on the tour of the back greenhouses, then there was a talk from DJ on his...
I lied... :jester:
If there is anything that I don't have for trade, but you are dying to have, send me a pm and I'll see if I see what I can start propagating for ya. I'm always looking for different clones than what I have, so if you have something I already have on my growlist, send me a...
I have (at least) 4 N. x 'rokko' plants from cuttings I've taken from my "mother" plant over the years. They are all well established, various sizes & ages, a few suffering from neglect but otherwise healthy & wanting to grow. N. 'rokko' produces nice large pitchers(4"-6+") similar to a larger...
I'm not sure why the big one died while the little one is still alive?
Could it be a lack of food? I notice they catch some insects but not a lot. They have to compete amongst flytraps, sarracenias, and other drosera for food.
Thanks!
I just moved everything to a new set up by necessity, and I am having problems with a number of plants I have not had trouble with before. New set up is a wire shelf wrapped in panda film (4 sides), lit with 4 2' T5 lights. Air movement/cooling by small computer fan. Temps low to high 80's...
Happy Birthday, Tamlin!
Next year you should be able to get your well wishes personally but for now we can post them here and I'll send them on.
Here's some plant pictures from this year to enjoy:

Basically the title. I need to buy Neem and considering between Dyna-Gro pure cold pressed Neem oil and Garden Safe Neem oil which is at 70% but still needs further dilution.
I assume if using Dyna-Gro I might need to add a bit of surfactant to the solution to maintain the emulsion when...
Hi i thought I'd introduce myself, I'm JellyMama and i got into carnivorous plants a little over a year ago when my husband bought me a drosera spatulata. I'm currently growing a Darlingtonia, which ive had since last March, 4 Sarracenia's, 2 of which i only got last Friday, and a Drosera...
I can trade Utricularia alpina, Utricularia asplundii, Utricularia reniformis, Utricularia nelumbifolia x reniformis, or Utricularia cv. 'Jitka.' I may also have some South American Drosera available but I need to confirm next week. Terrestrial Utricularia also available.
Went out with ScatterPants this past weekend to look for reported Drosera rotundifolia and Drosera anglica, as well as native Sphagnum species.
We were unsuccesful in finding D. anglica, but found a bit of D. rotundifolia and plenty of Sphagnum squarrosum.
D. rotundifolia & S. squarrosum...
Hi all,
I got this Drosera capensis when it was pretty small a few months ago. It's grown now, and flowering, and forming a stem.
I thought it was one of the "regular" form (whatever that means), but it seems a bit too hairy and there seem to be a lot of densely packed tentacles on lamina...
