Hi everyone, new to the boards. I have always been a fan of growing various plants, cactus mostly, but recently got into some cp's. Seems like a heck of a lot of fun, and it looks like there is a lot of great knowledge + info on the boards, look foward to joining in.
As for what I've got going...
Hi to all of you out there! It's been a while and my knowledge has blown up beyond expectation! I've had the chance to collect some very rare cactus (no not just those ones ;) )I've been doing alot of organic work too. Thought I'd drop in and say Hi to all that remember me!
Hi!
Joe
I have 5 or 6 gallon pots of S. flava maxima. These are fair sized plants that now have 5 to 6 blooms each. I am looking for similiar sized sarrs that I don't already have or possibly 2 or 3 smaller plants for one of my big ones. Check my grow list of lots of cactus and succulents...
Send me 5 bucks for shipping (well if you really want to split hairs, 4.50 would do but a 5 dollar bill is just easier to deal with) and I'll sent you 2 species (multi crowned by the way) of haworthia and some little red weird echevaria thing. Hell I dunno what it is and I'm not going to post...
After getting an ID for an Aloe plant (variegata- thanks Clint…) that caught my eye in the Cactus and other Succulents forum, I decided to go to Lowe’s to see if they had any. They didn’t, but I ended up buying two Aloe zanzibarica.
Anyway on my way from the outdoor area to the register inside...
I am looking for unusual sarracenia that I don't have. I have about 30 different passionflowers to offer as well as hardy kiwi. This is not the normal kiwi you find in the grocery store but marble sized fruits that grow on a really attractive fine. Green leaves with red stems. But it is super...
I’ve always liked cactus, and after we moved out to the Phoenix area from the East Coast I've had the opportunity to actually grow some outside. I’ve been eying the photos in the CP threads and though I would post a few of the desert plants that are currently blooming in my front yard...

Greetings all, my wife bought me this sweet little cactus plant for christmas and I am not sure how to care for it yet. I am not sure how often to water it or anything. If anyone can ID it for me then I can do some research on it. Thanks in advance.

I just updated my growlist and am looking for different sarracenia that I don't have for my bog in zone 7. Also looking for drosera that will survive and thrive there. My grow list is mainly cactus, succulent, and passionflowers but also have a few winter hard palms and bananas. It may be too...
I have just rooted a few cuttings from a Cereus (night-blooming cactus related to X-mas cactus). I was wondering if anyone has grown these before and can give me a few pointers.
Brian
I just got back from school and to my horror there was a light mold covering the dirt in a couple of my cactus pots. One pot, which, after the past month or so, hasn't sprouted anything yet, has a light white coating coating on it. The other pot, which has a couple two week old plants in it, has...
Hey, so I planted a few saguaro seeds in a clay pot a little over two weeks ago. (not to mention a troff with assorted cactus seeds as well.) anyway, I filled the dish underneath the saguaros with water. since the pot is clay, it absorbed the water very quickly. I figured since it was a cactus...
Hello. These plants came from Walmart and Lowes. Most of them were not labeled, or were labeled with a broad, common name. I'm hoping you guys can help me put a name to some, if not all my plants. Here are a few pictures.
1) This one I received as a "Tiger Jaws"
2) This one is a "Mosaic Aloe"...
I am interested in starting to grow some different types of hibiscus plants. I am new to this type of hobby and am looking for advice. I have purchased three differnt types from the local nurserys but am looking for the more exotic. I have access to a very nice green house where I plan on...
I am looking for seeds or plants of Drosera intermedia and tracyi. I have a large collection of cactus (winter hardy and non hardy) succulents, agaves, sanseverias, ceropegias, passion flowers and a few bananas. Let me know. Thanks, Paul
