Hi folks,
If I am not mistaken Strangler Figs (Ficus aurea, F. virens) grow in your neck of the woods. Does anybody have these laying around, like 1 or 2 maybe? If you do PM me. I also do some bonsai and have searched for a few years now and I can't find a nursery in the U.S. that sells these...
I recently came across a number of my old bonsai pots and had forgotten how attractive…and if I remember correctly…very expensive they are. Most are glazed, and I plan on repotting some of my CPs in them next weekend.
Most pots are 3" to 4" deep and I am sure they will work just fine for all of...

Thanks to Tony,
I now have some new plants!! The new guys are N. lowii, N. ampullaria, N. gracilis, D. nitidula ssp. nitidula, and VFT 'Pink Venus'. I have a question about the dews: The tray system is ok, right? And since they are flowering that means that to them it is spring, or winter ...
Hi
I have always read at just how fast growing the N. truncata is. Well I was given a very small TC lowland one about 5 years ago, and its barely grown!
As my setup is really geared to highlands, I have kept it in my lowland tank. And fully expected problems with it outgrowing the tank. No such...
I am planning on making a mini bog in a very ornate (read...very expensive) 18” x 15” x 4” Japanese clay bonsai pot. I filled the drain holes with Poly Seam Seal and made provisions for a drain hole that can be opened. My plants (VFTs) would stay in their plastic pots, set in the bonsai pot with...
Im curious about something..
There has been alot of talk lately about "how much light is enough" for artificial illunimation..
my question is..why does anyone even bother with artificial light at all when the sun is SO much better and totally free?
I guess I just dont see the "point" of CP...
Hi

and i saw it had a little section on micro climets or micro scpaes or something like that

Ok, maybe not ANY tree! But I'm wondering, if I grow one of my mimosa trees...without being allowed to grow to full size, will the leaves and flowers still bloom, and could I effectively keep it trimmed and growing in my terrarium, essentially as a "bonsai tree"?
When I saw the picture of the Ping in a shell, and on rocks, I thought it would be kinda in practical, and difficult, in a bonsai kinda way... then I got a mexican ping, and SAW its small roots. I was semi-alarmed, but I knew that it was Okay... Timbudtwo's Ping in a shell brought back the...
Well, I thought I would have more time to research lithops, but my seeds germinated in 4 days! I need to get some help asap so I can buy supplies this weekend.
My plan was to build a mini lithop patch/zen sand and rock garden. Does anyone know the minimum pot depth for lithops? I have a 2" deep...
I feed my pitcher plant a carpenter ant with some tweezers and I cracked a mature pitcher. I am not sure if the pitcher will survive. As the crack on the pitcher goes a quarter of the way down not quite half. So I took some dental floss and tied it together (like the Karate Kid movie were...
