Me too. They look nothing like standard alata but, they are awesome ! Sort of reminds me of tentaculata or Sp. 1. (nigra ?).

So that is what I have, Utricularia macrohiza, been wondering what kind it was growing in one of my water garden barrels.

Love the spotted alata and the raised bogs. My bog looks much the same right now, but slowly waking up.

Any idea if your alata is supposed to be (t) form from EP? That's what I received as a beheaded rust infected nightmare from a crappy nursery ... I mean "precious stock plant (that) was used to fill your order" that was it...

But after a year it has a couple nice pitchers and it has the furry tendrils like yours.

Not sure. I got mine as a cutting from Presto a little over a year ago. She may know more on it's origin. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite plants, I like it more and more with every new pitcher.

great thread just skimmed through and enjoyed the picture updates very much.

Can you take some pics of your whole setup? I saw the one showing the racks and the walls of the growtent but I'd love to see the ins and outs of how you have things setup. Obviously you enjoy great success with your methods. I am in the process of building a small highland terrarium but would love to buy a growtent and have all that space as my collection grows. Do you use a cooler/chiller system to get the nighttime temps down or just the humidifier? Are you just running t5s or do you have an HID bulb in there?
