Hey brokken I was just curious how long do you go between repotting and changing soil. I was looking at using bigger containers but was just curious how long you went before changing the soil.

Well, I plan on repotting my first and biggest bog next year. I generally just gauge based on growth and also when I begin to see exhaustion in some of the plants. So far, my oldest bog has been set up for 5 years, so I wouldn't push it past that.

Well when I got home yesterday I saw that I now officially have my first pitcher of the spring that opened! My plain Sarracenia flava beat the rest and the pitcher is 16-20 inches tall. I'll try to get some pics. I am also really stoked because my Leah Wilkerson is developing a pitcher that is currently 1 inch tall lol It should be a nice one though since she flowered this spring.

Brokken, awesome pics.

Phil

As promised, heupdated pics of my bog.

No nothing yet Fred, Just a few indications of new growth but I'm not seeing any buds forming on it. I'll try and get some pics this weekend.

It is a bit of a slow starter but I bet you'll get at least one or two. The remaining divisions I have sent up 12 and they weren't any larger than yours.

Nice flowers Brokken - did it just rain or did you water?

I went to a nursery and got a Leuco Tarnok 15 inches high! Anyways, since this is FLOWER watch, they had 2 flowers there. Doodle and red bug. The red smells so good
