What an incredible excursion! Thanks for sharing with us! I do believe the one ping you mentioned was a P. primuliflora 'Primrose'.
 
Holy mb overload. Trip looked fun. Very very nice recordings. I know you said this was No. Cali, but where exactly??

Seeing those darlingtonia growing cliffside halfway upside down makes me feel real good that I CANT get one through a single zone 7 dormancy period! :headwall:

looks like the gasquet area of hwy 199. The Smith river drainage has to be one of the most beautiful rivers systems on earth.
 
This has to be the most impressive (rather the largest) single picture thread I've ever seen. No offense to the one's that are continually updating, but this is a lot of pics even by those standards, I look forward to seeing the rest of the pics, all 17 pages of them. Okay maybe not that many, but you do seem to be headed that way.
