Drosera capensis: linear crown

I have no other way to describe it, other than that the growing point; the crown is linear, not a simple point like all other Drosera I've seen.

I spotted these two D. capensis when I was making a pot to give away. I almost gave these away!

Sooooo........ Whaddisit? What happened? Is it stable?

I saw a picture of a dew of some sort doing this once, I think I saw it on the CP photo finder. I can't find the picture, now.

When I saw the picture back then, I really wanted one like that. I never imagined I'd actually get one let alone two!

hmm....weird. how long has this been going on? it could be dividing itself...i guess time will tell?

just out of curiosity, is that the wide-leaf form?
amphirion might be onto something with the dividing idea.

Yanno, that could be it. My D. capensis blaineskloof did this, to a lesser degree, before it divided. This here must be one plant making a dozen, though!

The picture that I couldn't find was of a Drosera that flowered during this ribbon phase. The flower came out as a wide ribbon, with a row of flowers at the top.

It's either dividing or a bunch plants that came from seeds or cuttings right next to eachother.

I can say it's all one plant; I pulled it to re-pot, and it has only two and a half roots.

Must be dividing then. Cool!
