Hi everyone
I don't know much about Pings and I have a Weser and it seems it went throught Dormancy in the summer!! I've heard that this happens but what should I do to get it out of Dormancy? Also can you give some info on a P. Weser?
I got a P. x weser today, and it's the very first time I've ever seen a Ping in real life. However, to my surprise, the Ping leaves weren't sticky at all to my touch! I mean, sundews are quite sticky when I've accidentally touched them, but my Ping seems non-sticky at all! Is there a problem or...
Hi all,
How do u all care for your Pings in Singapore? I got a P.x weser today from FEF, and was wondering if I can treat it the same way as my VFTs and sundews.
Can the ping take strong sunlight in S'pore, or will it do better under partial shade? Do I water it using the tray system? Also...
My ping (P. weser / sethos) seems to have over 10 flowers ! 4 visible on the picture, and 8 small buds in preparation, waiting in the leaves.
No special regime: unfortunately, it does not catch anything, and the few insects I tried to "catch and throw" on the leaves were too big, and managed...
Sorry...not p.weser but p.sethos...(updated 1/4/03)
My Sethos flower is in full bloom. Thanks to PingMan and Tim, I've pollinated it. The flower is 2 cm (3/4 ich) across.

Below are a few links to excellent information on correctly writing plant names:
I would like to say that the form that the plant names are written in is very important and has been detailed much in the literature, and in the links below, but it is just as important to spell the plant names...
Hi folks, kwik kwestshun (like my phonetics?)
I suface-sowed some pxWeser seeds (thanks Weser! probably 1 to 2 months ago. I was wondering how long these generally take to germinate.
They were sowed in pete/perlite, and it's about 80 degrees.
Thanks for any tips.
Pinguicula 'Weser' is one of my favorite Pinguicula. Several years ago I received my first one in a trade. Since then, using conventional propagation techniques and a minimum amount of time I have produced many hundreds of divisions which I have sold and traded widely. Undoubtedly if I had more...

Hi All,
I just bought a ping 'Weser' here in the UK, and I was wondering if anyone knows what it is and what sort of conditions it likes. It's my first ping for a good few years and I'm not really familiar with the ins & outs of keeping them. Do they like similar conditions to my...
My Ping Weser has small leaves from I believe it's dormancy during Winter but I want to try reproducing more from leaf cuttings. I would like to know what medium I should be using if it's any different to repotting a fully grown plant.
I want to repot my PIng Weser but I've been told that the mixture isn't a straight peat/sand-perlite mix. IS there a specific mix or is peat and sand/perlite good enough?
