This is my first Cephalotus ("vigorous" clone), purchased from D. Hastings in early June. At that time it was a small clump of juvenile pitchers, but as you can see, it has gone on to making adult pitchers. (It has made five now) These are coloring up nicely, wouldn't you say?
I hope this...
Hi Terraforums.
I purchased a plant not too long ago and when I received it, it turned out to be a bizarre tissue cultured, three - headed monster. Luckily, this plant seems to be pretty vigorous and after I immediately divided the three heads, I kept the largest growing stem for myself...
Hey folks.
I remember one the first things I read or heard about Nepenthes was that N. ventricosa and N. maxima were considered incredibly vigorous and bomb-proof plants. I have thoroughly tested and tried N. ventricosa's ability to withstand harsh treatment. I have not, however ever grown...

Hi there.
A few months ago I was a lucky recipient of 11 utrics, a majority of them have been successfully propagated and moss free colonies were established in dead sphagnum. The temperature in the area I live in is dropping and I'm worried that if I wait a bit longer...

Based on last night's temperatures, it appears that cooler times have arrived, making for safer Heliamphora transplanting. I have three or four plants available for postage.

I've got a sub-adult Hummer's Giant with MULTIPLE growth points that I just don't have room for. It's a little starved for light, but seems to be pretty vigorous.
Looking for a nice colorful typical, with full size adult pitchers. Pics are a must..
If it's a nice enough typical, I throw in...
Still going to use this for droseras.. but I decided to use it mainly for cephs. Had to repot one, started using live LFS heads as top dressing, and just went nuts. I'll just add the dews later in the fall. Added a few ivy cuttings as well. In due time, this tank will be looking good.
Sorry...
Hey all,
After over a year of delay, I finally managed to get some sterile cultures going last March and in early May. It sure is convenient to have access to a lab with flow hoods and ethanol/supplies! The jars and gel/nutrients are all purchased by me though.
I was in san diego all summer so...
The AW plants seem to really hate me. So I'd rather trade them out than kill any more. N. mikei wasn't so lucky.

Got a Hummer's Giant shipped in this pot. It was repotted into something taller.. so I had this laying around. Thought it was about time to put it to use.
Still need to add some sundews.. but this is what I've got so far.
Also repotted the largest of my last purple clone cephs.
I have a nice seed grown Nep Kohala up for trade. Kohala is a complicated cross of (N.kampotiana X maxima) X (N. fusca X veitchii) by Sam Estes in Hawaii. I have seen some variation in the pitchers this plant has produced thus far. The peristome starts almost a chartreuse then turns deep red...
I took two leaf cuttings upon my plant's arrival, both are now showing top growth. One is already gone, the other is up for grabs. Looking for things on my want list. ;)

Hello everyone, I'm planning to get a nepenthes clipeata from wistuba. The problem is I don't know which one to choose from! There's clone 2, 3, and U. I'm wondering which one is more vigorous and has the gender for all clones been confirmed? I'm pretty sure that 2 and 3 are males but I haven't...
The Peter D'Amato cultivar I've had for the last two years never was very vigorous and started losing its growth point about 6 months ago, so I decided that I would get another one.... easier said than done. Finally though I was able to procure a new one:
The irony of this is, that just as I...
Alrighty, this was asked wayyy before a few times so maybe there is a better way today.
Here we go:
I recently received 11 plugs of various (mostly terrestrial) utrics. Very happy about it :hail: ! The sender warned me that surface of most plugs is overgrown with carpet moss but that I should...
