Hi,
Having grown a number of pulchella forms for a few years now I have found quite a different in growth levels.
Fastest for me is the Akopan which is really vigorous.
Slowest is Amuri which stopped growing two months ago and prior to that was growing at a snails pace.
Inbetween is my Chimanta...
Most nepenthes I can just dump into my growspace and they grow on their merry way, but a couple I'm still having trouble with so I'm here soliciting advice if anyone has any. Here are my misbehaving plants with descriptions:
N.sp Doorman's top #2:
It barely has 5 leaves on it, maybe thinking...
i got tired of my old 18in flourescents and made this thing instead. i just cut holes in some plexiglass and fitted some reptile light fixtures in it with 6500K CFLs. i still had room for a long tube fixture so i kept it there. im wondering if i should just get rid of it and add a third CFL in...
For many years, the ones that grew and eventually died at my balcony - I attributed the reason to the fact that N. adnata is found at altitudes of 600-1200m...so cool conditions must be preferred since the demise is ALWAYS during the hot season (May-August).
I thought of giving up on this...
I just went and got some more moss and re-organized my terrarium. The old Nepenthes were getting tangled and cramped, so I figured it was time to get the logistics of my confined space better figured out!
Here's my Nepenthes spectabilis x talangensis in the center. This plant has been really...
Long story short (not really) the binata was one of the most vigorous growers before I moved back to school. After that the newest leaves just halted growing and I figured it was just stressed (temps spiked to 90F+ and it was a bumpy ride) so I trimmed them off and assumed it would bounce back...
Hi all,
I've lost track of those I've traded with this past season. There was an early trade with lilstinkpot, but the others got lost when I cleaned out my email box.
I have some stunning and incredibly vigorous Sarracenia rubra alabamensis that originated from the ICPS seedbank. The plants...

Hello everyone, I will be repotting and dividing my pot of Bigmouth VFT's this week, I should have around 10 or so that I can trade (half inch size traps approximately). The variety I have is a very vigorous clone that clumps rapidly, so just 2 or 3 plants can give you 15 or so in a year's...
