My Lowe's VFT has this strange deformed trap. I took this pic with my phone just now and circled the trap in question. Is this just a mutation, or a sign of something wrong?

I want to try propagating some of my vft's this year via splitting the rizome. When's the best time to do this? How big should the plant be? Also, is tissue culture possible without a laboratory for doing so?

I've been looking into expanding my vft collection and I've narrowed it down to either king henry or b52. I like the growth style of king henry (tall and "bushy") but they don't seem to have the nice red that b52 has. What do you think? Photos are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Last summer I found a vft with a flower stalk that had traps instead of flowers growing on the stalk. I'm afraid it didn't make through dormancy. Has anyone else seen this phenomenon? Later that summer it produced normal flowers.
