Um, why hasnt my Pinguicula laueana changed its rossete to a carnivorous rossete? Its still got its succulent growth!!
Im using 1:1 one part peat to one part sand. Thats the soil it came in. My other butterwort, P esseriana/ehlerisea? is in pure peat and it has changed its rossete to a...
i want to grow some mexican pings yeah round with wet soil, but will they be OK with that? i dont want them to turn into succulents, as that wouldn't me very attractive or fun for me. besides, i could care less about flowers.

Im unsure of what it is, but whatever it is...its sure hardy! Some plantlets that dropped from the leaves are trying to sprout in the sidewalk! I'll get pics up soon for an ID.
Anyway, I've got tons of seeds and quite a few baby plants. 2 baby plants are larger(several lanceolate leaves), if...
Hi all,
Phil Faulisi gave me a Dorstenia foetida on my trip to his greenhouse. It's kind of like an ant plant, but its a succulent, and does not house ants. Anyways when I got it it had 4 leaves. 3 were really small leaves formed during dormancy. The big one was the newest one, came out 2...
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but my P. ehlersiae is producing new growth but it's brown in color rather than the usual green. I believe it's in dormancy right now because the leaves look like those of a succulent rather than flat.
I'm a bit worried...
Any help would be...
Hey,
since my p. primuliflora died after it flowered, I have gotten another ping. P. esseriana. Anyway, I noticed it has a couple succulent leaves emerging that it came with when I got it. What triggers this in the mexican pings? light, water?
thanks
Hi,
I am looking for speciesof Kalanchoe, the type which make 'babies' on the leaf margins, in Canada. I already have 'the common' species, and I am looking for more exotics one (it is one of the only succulent I can grow: I have some tendancy to overwatering: a well-know CP disformity ;))
I made a cactus forum to internet yesterday. And all cactus and succulent fans are very welcome to come talk with us.
Language is mostly English.

Hi friends,
Greetings to all cacti and succulent growers. Recently, a few of us in Singapore have purchased some Lithops and relatives. Could I please request for some help identifying them?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Folks,
My jade plant is sending out roots every which way. I have already taken 4 cuttings from it (roots already there for me), and I can probably make another 30 or 40 (no, I'm not exagerating). Anyone have any interest? The cuttings are going to be sized for a three inch pot in most...
Another grower and I have been chatting a bit and a question has come up that neither of us has the answer for. We have both found that when the photoperiod is increased in summer (whether by changing a timer or moving plants outside) that many of our Mexi-Pings form their succulent rosettes...
Could someone please provide a link to a Cacti and Succulent cultivation FAQ/website that gives sound, basic advice for growing these types of plants.
TIA
I got some kind of Night Blooming Cereus type plant. Not sure what the exact species is. But this opens up its gigantic flowers at night, and by morning, its withered. They smell great too! These started to open around 6pm, and by 11pm it was fully open. Here's some pics, hope you like!
I can't seem to figure out what kind of succulent this is. It looks like maybe some kinda of Haworthia. H. fasciata looks similar, but I don't think that's it. What I have, has shorter fatter leaves. Anybody know what this is?
