    10 gallon tank.

I just got a 10 gallon tank and I want it to be well lit. I have 2 long 40 watt flourescents over the main tank and also 2 small twisty bulbs on each side. Is this enough for my pings and Drosera to be colored up?? I also want to know where I should put the Schizandra I'm getting. Should it be...

    Trouble with schizandra

My schizandra keeps failing to open leaves as you can see in the photo. I grow him covered up in 100% humidity with that container cover. The night temperatures are 22 degrees celcius, and the day temperatures are 30 degrees celcius. I give bright shade. In farenheit I think thats roughly 70...

    Drosera schizandra cultivation/propagation questions

Hello, Thankfully, my quest for this plant is nearing its end...I'm expecting to receive one within the next few days! I know that this plant likes low light levels and high humidity, but are there any other considerations I should be aware of? Also, does this plant grow relatively fast? I've...

What do you grow as windowsill plants?

I made this list up for another thread of what I grow as windowsill plants. I was curious what plants others grow this way. When I first started to grow CP's, I also thought you had to have high humidity. My first tank has water in the bottom of it all the time to keep the humidity up. The top...

    Drosera schizandra

Are Drosera schizandra self-fertile? Do they self-pollinate? What is the best way to produce viable seed of this species? My largest plant of this species is now producing 4 inch long leaves, so I am hoping that it might get to the point of flowering, (fingers crossed). If it does, I want to be...
