Here are photos of Pinguicula cyclosecta, Pinguicula jaumavensis and Pinguicula rotundiflora that did pretty well with being dry for sixteen + months:
The species in this thread seem to have carried on as though they didn't even notice the extended period of dryness they have just endured...
So today, in order to make room for my new nep seeds (thanks Tropics), I decided to give
my baby pings a somewhat more permanent home. The first 3 cells (going left to right,
starting with the top row) are p. rotundiflora. The next 7 are P. Esseriana, and the
remaining are P. Yucca Do 1713...
Hi All,
I'm putting up this list- I'm trying to gauge how to go about doing this: I'm hoping to offer the following to those in the general area where I live, near Philadelphia, PA, or anyone who wants to come here from where ever, as I'm pretty sure some would drive a bit for some of these...
My main interest is to have in my collection, every last known pinguicula so if you have one not on my grow list let me know. Beyond my Ping obsession i have very good luck with petiolaris and tuberous drosera and would like to enlarge my collection of them too. I always have lots of nepenthes...
After going through more of my dried seeds pods I have discovered I have more Oodham's Devils Claw seeds (Proboscidea parviflora variety hohokamiana) than I would ever want to plant without starting a plantation so I wondered if anyone would be interested in trading for some. I am not really...

Pinguicula rotundiflora seems to be a "clumping species" in my environmental conditions. Has anyone else noticed this? Here is a photo of a group of this species, each pot was planted initially with a single plant. They are just now starting to initiate flower buds.
Hey all, I'm looking to get hold of a S. psittacina. I'd prefer the plant, but I'm up to attempting seeds as well.
Here's what I've get to trade with.

Agnata x Gypsicola
Rotundiflora x Hemiepiphytica
Drosera:
Dichotoma "Giant"
'Marston Dragon'
All help is much appreciated...
I'm looking to revamp my Darlingtonia collection. I had one a while back but lost it to heat. I now have better idea of how to grow them and would like to acquire either a plant or seed. I'd prefer the plant, but I'm willing to try seed as well... or both! LOL:-D
Right now all I have are...
I made this list up for another thread of what I grow as windowsill plants. I was curious what plants others grow this way.
When I first started to grow CP's, I also thought you had to have high humidity. My first tank has water in the bottom of it all the time to keep the humidity up. The top...
I was at Pine Grove Furnace today enjoying my day off.
I have found D. rotundiflora here last year. I figure there is a good chance to find S. purpurea as well.
With the wife along I do not get to explore much at all.
I found this S. purpurea in Michaux State Forest, which is were Pine Grove...
