I have several Mimosa pudica seeds available for trade if someone is interested, I am looking for CP seeds/ plants.
These Mimosa seeds had a 100% germination rate for the 10-12 that I planted.
PM if interested!
Hi, I'm looking for seeds of the sensitive plant (mimosa pudica) It doesn't matter what kind, Even the aquatic version is fine with me. I don't know what I have for trade at the moment but if you could send them for postage that'd be great.

p.s. Anybody have any Byblis or Drosophyllum...
One illustration which always me struck as a kid, searching through my father's old collection of scientific books, was a Rube Goldberg-style "mouse-trap" analogy of the very complex nature of a Utricularia trap, which appeared, complete with legend, in 1942's The Carnivorous Plants by Francis...
EDITED to fix seed count.

I still have a large amount of Mimosa Pudica "sensitive plant" seeds for trade.
The plant has small thing leaves, and the leafs close and fold closer to the plant when touched, in hot weather, or during the night.
The plant is native to Brazil, but has become established in many tropical areas...
I have a bunch (maybe 100 or so, I havent counted them) of Mimosa Pudica "Sensitive Plant" Seeds that i got free after complaining about a vendor's shipping time for trade. (Indeed, the squeaky wheel gets the grease). I have a weedy thorned variety of mimosa that grows everywhere around here, so...
I'm ordering Cofea arabica (Coffee plant), Ficus retusa (Taiwan ficus), Mimosa pudica (Sensitive plant), and Ficus benjamina (Weeping ficus) seeds. I have never raised a plant from a seed so I was wondering how I should go about growing these plants. I guess I need to know how deep the hole...
Hey! My name is Shaun, I'm 16, and I'm from Oregon. I'm new to CP's (as the title states) I got my first seeds for christmas and they are all doing well. Right now I have some plants in a 10gal. and a few others in separate containers.
Here is what I have so far:
Dionaea muscipula...
My school has a greenhouse, and a greenhouse club to run it. As the "president" of this club, I get to decide what goes in and what we will grow for our plant sales(currently we have about 80 mimosa pudica, geraniums, and a million spider plants). Yesterday a freshmen biology teacher asked me...

I don't really have anything worth trading I'm afraid... but if any generous forum members have Mimosa Pudica seeds or plants they'd like to share, I'll take back all of the bad things I ever said about you! :-D
I just bought four small Mimosa pudica, at a buck fifty each. I was wondering if anyone has grown these before and has any tips.
Brian
PS I have been looking for these for a while, and it is really cool to see them curl up when touched.
My mimosa pudica has started flowering, but after each flower opens, the nest day the whole flower "pod" falls off without producing any seeds. What do I need to do to get it to produce seeds?
Thanks,
dewy
I have a Mimosa pudica ( sensitive plant) seedling and I was wondering what is the best way to grow it? What soil mix, how much water, can it be grown outside, how much light, etc. does this plant like?
Thanks,
dewy
