I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone who has contributed to the below growlist. Whether it be through generous...
I have divisions of H. heterodoxa "Gran Sabana Giant", and H. ionasii "Triplett Clone" available
for trade. These divisions have mature pitchers, and both varieties are unusual and very colorful.
In return, I'm seeking divisions of any of the following, ideally with mature pitchers:
H...
Here are some shots of a few of my Heliamphora, taken as I was fertilizing the lot with 30:10:10 orchid fertilizer, and trimming away some dead winter leaves. Even though the H. ionasii plants below germinated at the same time, about half the pot still remains in a juvenile state. There is...

Hello Friends,
Well, due to some requests from fellow Heli-addicts, I've decided to write an article on how I grow Heliamphora indoors year-round.

I thought I'd post a few pictures of some plants.
The first one up is a windowsill grown Heliamphora heteradoxa x nutans. I got this in trade late summer. Took a long time to settle in since it was just the rhizome and no roots when I got it. Just starting to form new pitchers.
And some other...

Here are a few larger shots of some of the pitcher plants from this Fall. The Cephalotus are slowing their growth a bit and now beginning to produce their "vegetative" flat leaves; and the Heliamphora are growing more rapidly with the arrival of colder weather -- yet another reason why I largely...
Here are a few shots from this afternoon of a couple of my "windowsill" Heliamphora -- H. nutans and H. x "Tequila". As the days and, more importantly, the nights have grown cooler, all of the plants are rapidly producing new leaves and some even preparing to flower . . .
This Heliamphora...

Hi. I just thought I'd post what I'm eventually going to use as a Heliamphora Nutans set up in case anyones interested. It's nothing special, but it's an interesting sort of idea. However I'm not sure what you'd call it?
Pretty much the idea is I have a really bright windowsill which I was...
In Stewart McPherson's book "Pitcher Plants of the Americas" he make the statement that the overwhelming majority of H. nutans in cultivation are not H. nutans.
He says that in fact they are actually either hybrids with H. glabra or artificial crossbreeds produced by horticulturists.
So, my...
My main interest is to have in my collection, every last known pinguicula so if you have one not on my grow list let me know. Beyond my Ping obsession i have very good luck with petiolaris and tuberous drosera and would like to enlarge my collection of them too. I always have lots of nepenthes...
