I went to check on my Neps today and there was a bloom on my Nepenthes campanulata x thorelii:
As you can see it's a male so if anyone would like to have some of the pollen it should be fresh and ready in a few weeks.
here's a shot of the latest pitcher it made (about 6" tall):
Here's some...
Just ordered this plant. So I searched previous threads discussing on this hybrid. Based on what I read, the conclusions seem to be: like lowland condition, high humidity. Does anyone success in growing it under highland or intermediate conditions? The BE said this plant grows well under both...
I've just received an N. jacquelineae and an N. jamban. I've had a jacq in my HL chamber years ago when the first seed grown batch came outta BE but jamban came out after I quit plants for a while. So far it has a single 1" dark red pitcher which already has a nice shape with the plant itself...
So I've just begun this new 10 gallon vertical vivarium, Still working on the plantings obviously!
Some of the first plants:
N. belli x thorelii x aristolochioides this is a rooted cutting so I can see it's the perfect diameter for this tank , not too big.
This miniature fern is...

In a crossing of Nep. A x (Nep A x Nep B), you may think the results would be less variable, and much more like Nep A. With only 1/4 of a different species, the progeny seem to be much more variable than the primary hybrid used with some very interesting traits coming out. Or you may already...
Here is the bottom line, I want to know what the night-time temperature range and
day-time temperature range is for highland nepenthes and ultra-highland nepenthes.
Looking through all the information that the internet has to offer, we could not find
any specific references to temperature...

Hi y'all,
I received this N. albomarginata red, back in November of last year from CZ Plants. This plant is growing in a five inch pot.
At first the pitchers didn't make the white collars that this plant is known for. But as larger pitchers were made, the white collar became more...

I started growing CPs in 2006.

A Nepenthes Dicksoniana (N. Rafflesiana X N. Veitchii / AKA: N. Menarik) cutting that was given to me

Looks like a basal shoot cutting off a vine...
For trade is my beloved spectabilis x ventricosa. When I first got this plant, it had no pitchers. Now it is beautiful and pitchers quite readily. It has been grown in intermediate conditions and is quite hardy. The pitchers are over 6" tall, and this plant is of flowering maturity.

I end up wasting a lot of soil and never know the ratio of soil components when I mix soil for a pot or two.
So I decided to mix very large amount of intermediate to HL soil.
I would like some experienced nep growers to chime in if possible.
I'm looking for good aeration/drainage with some...
Does anyone have Nepenthes alba? It was apparently formerly known as a variation of gracillima but was recently elevated to species status.
I can only find pics for a handful of upper pitchers which are quite nice but I can't really find anything on the lowers.
Since I will be getting one of...
