It was pretty small and came from Florida. I live in Washington state.
I noticed one of the leaves curled together with a little fluffy white stuff sticking
out the end. I thought it would be a mealy bug. So I pealed open the leaf
and about...

Greetings. Now that fall is approaching, I'm planning on starting a mini/microbog on my outdoor porch. I plan to prepare this during the winter when the Sarracenia are dormant.
Now, this will be a small (8 inch wide free-standing pot) minibog. I want to have a Sarracenia species in it, but...
As I live in Central Florida, my area is quite conducive to growing sarracenia's of which I have many, both pure and hybrid. Of all the sarracenia's I have, I cannot get pure Oreaphila to grow more then 1 season before it dies. I have many Oreaphila mixes with Leuco and Flava and others, but...

Greetings. I currently live in Florida right now attending college. I plan to complete college in less than 3 years and when I do, I plan on moving to the UAE.
Question: I have a 10 gallon terrarium of plants in my room in Florida. How would I move this to UAE?
I found this.
And I love it.
My mom and I cried because we were laughing so hard.
I copy/pasted directly from http://www.floridaspizza.com/2010/11/15/so-you-want-to-move-to-florida-part-1-the-weather/, only because I wanted to make my own annotations and had to clean up the colorful language...
Just sharing a couple of pics. This is a clone descendant of a Nepenthes alata I got more than 20 years ago from Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida. It's probably prejudice on my part coming from the fact that this was one of my first nepenthes, but this is what I think N. alatas...
