Update on the carnivory of Stylidium

Twoton made an excellent post which can be found Here.

Apparently Stylidium has been found to produce protease and other digestive enzymes, and if it is proven they can absorb the nutrients then they would be considered carnivorous.

I'm not really sure where this thread goes so I put it here.

Awesome! I've been collecting a ton of Stylidium seeds (from vendors, not the wild.. I don't live in Australia)... now it was even more of a good idea. I never really expected it to be considered carnivorous.. but this is great! Now I just gotta get them to germinate.

Known this for awhile. I think we're waiting for a report from a guy who specializes in Stylidium, I think he wrote the book "Triggerplants".

I've been ordering tons of different seed species of Stylidium for a while but I don't know a whole lot about cultivating them. I'm hoping to specialize in them as well.
