Sarracenia purpurea ssp. purpurea

Well, I went to a park today, where they have a bog full of S. purpurea ssp. purpurea, since it was SOO nice out. Here are the pics.

Thanks guys. I hope to see these plants flower in summer, or whenever they happen to flower. It would be very beautiful to see.

Oh man! My Grandmother has 100 acers with a swampy area near it, ( a 5 min. walk from her house ) Im gonna check it out for sundew, and S. Purpurea... i hope they dont have it filled in! I know they made atempts to clear it out once, (the people who owned the swamp) they might have wipped out any or all traces of the plants ( i hope not ) I have seen S.purpurea in MI on one of the state parks... kinda neat.
