After a while you can easily tell a hybrid (like Dana's Delight) from a pure leuco, and once you become a codger like me and have seen a zillion of 'em, you can even tell what region a leuco came from, give or take. There are a number of isolated stands of leuco scattered thinly east of Rt. 65 no more than a few miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. Have yet to see any other species growing with them, not even S. psittacina.
