got a question on pollen shed. tuning fork? is it the vibrations and fork barely hitting flower or is it resonance? If so could the same be done via electronic means producing the same frequencies/pitch as say C at 256 hz?

Why not do what I'm doing with the Byblis? Pluck or cut off an anther, slice open the pollen sack with a scalpel. Let it dry out for around 15 minutes and then smear the pollen on the stigma.

ummm probably year 2? But bulk of that year was indoors under lights.

pushing them growing indoors. warmer. My nights outside are normally in the 50s except when we get to winter then maybe down to the high 30's. Also experimenting with a pelleted timed release fertilizer with micro nutrients. Nutricote 13-13-13 +minors I think. I think it makes a big difference to help them get going in the beginning.

What a great collection of sarracenia! I had a chance to browse this thread and you have a great start for only 2 years. It also looks as there will be a lot of greatness out of your seedlings.

Guessing cool nights, warm days, and high UV helping with color development. will need to see how they do in "normal" environments.

Thanks. Collection is older than that. Just gotten better at pushing the seedlings to grow faster. I think i can compress 4 years time into 2 years of actual growing, by growing under lights indoors and skipping dormancy. Feeding also helps tremendously

and as always, kulamaui works wonders on pigmentation. those cuprea almost looks like an atropurpurea!
