Did you find your purp montana to be a bit sluggish during the spring? I have a couple medium divisions and they seem to be a bit slow (slower than my other purps, that is).

Yeah, takes it a bit to color up though - starts out "red stripey veined" at first.

And absolutely yes! It barely did anything until last month, then popped out 2-3 pitchers in a 2 or 3 weeks last month!

I noticed you have a pvc pipe sticking out of the corners of your planter box, is that to prevent anaerobic bacteria from developing?

That's so I can look down the pipe to see where the water level is at...and to pour water in there too so I don't mess up the peat/perlite on top if I'm pouring a lot of water at a time.
