Here are some pics of a developing, but still unopened Nepenthes clipeata pitcher.

This carnivorous pitchering jungle vine is endemic to Borneo.

Some members have commented on the phallic appearance of these unopened pitchers...

..and NO i'm not feeding it blondes...

Rotate the pitcher sideways, and this pitcher changes in appearance, from something close to a fly...

...to something much more ant-like.

D-fox, while it is true that size can at times have certain advantages, it still takes real skill to get the job done to satisfaction.

Seriously though, this is still a juvenile pitcher, just over 4 inches in length, but the future pitchers will continue to add significant size to themselves.
