For some variety, here's an 'almost upper' on N. inermis (cohabiting with a U. alpina) - the plant couldn't decide whether to form a peristome so it made one that looks all insect-chewed:
Due in part to spending family time, my son came in for 2 weeks R&R, and in part to sandy killing my power, and in part to work making all managers work insane hours due to the storm..i never got my pictures in. Best of luck to all who did enter. may the best pitcher win.
