This weekend I went up to Weaverville and Asheville, NC to help my Dad and some of his friends work on restoring part of a camp that he and his friends went to as kids. The camp has been closed for years and many of the old cabins are in disrepair but the most recent owner has put a ton of money into properly restoring much of the property. We worked on restoring the Chapel, I actually forgot to take photos of it but I got pics of almost everything else.
The camp is named for the Sequoia trees that are planted at the center of the camp. So I guess I'll start with a pic of the tree

Cool little purple flower, considering it snowed less than a week ago there I'd say this is a pretty cold hardy plant

This cabin had trees growing on the roof, it might collapse this winter if it snows too much

The old log steps leading up to the cabins, these were put in around 1940, it is amazing you can still see them

After finishing up at Camp Sequoyah my girlfriend and I headed to Asheville where we toured Biltmore (I did a summer internship there) and then we went for coffee at a place called The French Broad Chocolate Lounge.
