Help! This is how my sundew arrived….

Hi everyone! I’m new to carnivorous plants, and i ordered a baby sundew from a (what i thought to be) reputable grower back in late March.
This is how it arrived to me, mostly brown, i thought after repotting it and giving it time to recover from the shipping it would bounce back.
Unfortunately i don’t think that’s the case. This is a picture of it from today, and any tips/thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What species is it, and what exactly is it planted in? Light levels, kind of water being used? The soil looks very unsuitable at a glance but without details nothing can be ascertained for certain.
It is a Drosera. It is under a full spectrum grow light for 8hrs daily, in Sundew specific medium (I will have to check where I purchased it from), and it sits in a tray of about 1/2in of distilled water. Distilled water is all I use for my carnivorous plants.
