Everything looks healthy and happy, Luca. Your villosa seedling seems like it's already hit its stride.

Nice update.

Leaves on the lowii possible ephippiata, don't look like either of those plants. Depending on where you got it; it could just be a commercial hybrid. It is always hard to tell at that age.

Here is are some old photos I found to compare leaves:
nepenthes-ephippiata-small.jpg

This is N. ephippiata when it was about 3 years old.

nepenthes-lowii-small.jpg

Here is one of N. lowii at the same age

Funny, looks a lot like the lowii x ephippiata cross. I wouldn't discount the tag just yet, unless you were told otherwise.

  • #666
good looking plants. i dont think that is lowii either, the pitcher is too squat although the leaves look like a match. how's lola doing?

  • #667
Mark, the plant was from wild seed so I dont think its a commercial hybrid, I got it from J so I'll ask and see what he thinks. Mat, you did mention he did have Hose mountain forms so perhaps that could be it.

  • #668
Definitely looks like it, but I think Hairy Jerry is the guy to ask.

I added some LED lights to supplement my t5s. I have the LEDs turn on for an hour before the t5s do and turn off an hour after the t5s do.

Amazing plants and I love the live sphagnum. It makes it look like a jungle. I thought the inermis pitcher was a deformed Utricularia leaf at first.

Plants look great, Luca. I didn't know we could make a slideshow with flickr? Makes the thread much tidier.
