I don't have enough seed to give any away, but I would like to trade for: leuco forms/colours, and other interesting hybrids. for sundews that are going to mature over 1" preferably larger, or ones that don't need dormancy. As you can see, I'm not too specific. PM me and let me know what you...
I have been told there are exchanges for carnivorous plants however I am far too new to have anything to offer in exchange so I would like to know where to purchase Pinguicula villosa and P. vulgaris. Preferably from a northern grower. Thank you.
I was in Wisconsin last weekend and took some pictures of a bog containing an aquatic Utricularia species (presumably U. vulgaris). The plants were located in a steam remanent amid suspended peat, which I found rather interesting. The pictures are at http://cppic.placegoblin.com/album24 . Sorry...
I have a few packets of D. anglica (Kasilof, AK USA) and D. rotundifolia (Kasilof, AK USA) seed for trade. I'm interested in almost anything in exchange. I'm rebuilding my collection and all I currently have are the above Drosera and P. vulgaris and P. villosa. So anything else would be great!

Is this plant Protected/thretoned or endangerd? They are native to my state and I'd like to bring some into cultivation, but I'm not about to do so if they are on the no-no list like our other terrestrial plants.
I've seen it several times on aquabid. Would it be able to tolerate general aquarium conditions. Also, since they eat microrganisms, would the presence of utrics be detrimental to baby fish(competition)?
is a peat and spagnum moss good for these plants? should i add any other ingrediants to it.

My Anthurium scandens is a neat epiphyte that flowers constantly with waxy purple spadix and thin white spathe after a month or so the inflorescences swell and begin to create clumps of large pearly berries. It seems to take a long time before the berries are ripened.
The first set of berries...

Hi,
I was wondering which European temperate Pinguicula could resist to our cold Canadian winter. Here, we have P. vulgaris and, more in the North, P. villosa (which I haven't the chance to see in nature... yet!.
I find these species very attractive, and they will be even more if I...

I was camping/hiking in the sierras (near Lake Tahoe) a few weeks ago and found, as I had the last year, a thriving population of Utricularia macrorhiza (aka vulgaris ssp. macrorhiza). The plants were growing in the shallow areas at the edge of a rather shallow, grassy lake.
here's some pics...
