I scored the audio-book version of William Burroughs Naked Lunch read by Burroughs himself off from Half.com. Amazon and Ebay have the 3 CD version of of this out of print title going for $200 (gah!!) but I got it on cassette tape for $30 including shipping.
I'm enjoying the music of his voice...
Dave Barry Year in Review: Bailing out of 2008
BY DAVE BARRY
How weird a year was it?
Here's how weird:
• O.J. actually got convicted of something.
• Gasoline hit $4 a gallon -- and those were the good times.
• On several occasions, Saturday Night Live was funny.
• There were a few days...
I was in the middle of writing a PM and had to go. I was looking for the Save option and I couldn't find it. Is it still there and somehow I missed it?
Well, I shot my card at Guitar Center today....
Got the laptop maxed out on Ram last week (still only 2 measly GB) and tonight filled the nearly blank hard drive with the Native Instruments Komplete Synths virtual synthesizer software box set containing their modulators: Absynth 4, FM-8, Pro...
The only option for growing D. binata I have is in a relatively small undrained container on a windowsill. I'd like to know how rot-prone the plant is and an approximate water level for the plant (container depth is about 6 inches). I will be unable to use the tray method and would like the best...
Im installing a wireless network at home, ive got the gateway set up for WPA-2, my new laptop with vista connects just fine. Now im trying to configure an older laptop that has XP.
The closest option I find listed on the older laptop is WPA with AES, I enable this and include the key but it...
Small batches of seeds do not need a phytosanitary certificate,
In Fact, small lots of seed may be imported without a phytosanitary certificate under the following conditions:
(1) The importation of the seed is authorized by a written permit specifically for small lots of seed. Permits are...
Hello, Ive been doing a lot of reading on the forum here and figured I better ask for advice if I plan on having any type of luck with a project like this.
I've noticed that you guys really frown on growing fly traps in any kind of terrarium, but I'm a poor college student who is stuck in a...
I posted a similar topic in CPUK forums.
Howdie folks!
A couple of years ago I was forced to get rid of my collection of CPs due to space (I had to move into an apartment for a while due to relocation) and there was nobody that I knew locally that could care for them correctly. I wisely sent...
I am looking around for a useful book that I can try and start learning how to do simple wiring task like hook up fluorescent shop lights without plugs and such. I don't have a very good idea of what book might be useful for this. Recommendations would be appreciated, as there seem to be quite a...
Sup, peeps? I have a problem. My N. campanulata have settled in and are pitchers well, growing fast, and all is well... BUT the pitchers just aren't lasting. I have never encountered this problem, so I don't know how to address it.
I feed twice a month. Half strength organic fertilizer. The...
One mason jar.
I made this once before on a lark. Using some round about logic, I figured green grapes would make good jam if you added cinnimon and other dessert-type spices.
I was right! :gulp:
It was like spreading CANDY on my toast.
Openning bid, $3. If winner has a bid over $10, I...
Home made pear jam.....but not the way you'd think. Spiced with a variety of dessert spices (stuff like cinnimon & cloves).
Sounds odd, I know....But this stuff is DA BOMB.
One regular mason jar (what is that, a pint?)
Opening bid $3
If winning bid is over $10, I will give you the option...
Went shopping for school today and got some cool stuff. Wireless printer! Didn't know they made that. Anyway, I got a TI- Nspire. Got this because that's the best they had, and because my current calculator is Casio, was just like $50 when I got it, and EVERYONE seems to use TI so whenever I ask...
Yes. Clay. I love this stuff. I have noticed that in pots where I use 50% arcillite, 25% LFS, and 25% bark & charcoal as the medium, with a 1/4th inch top dressing of Sphagnum, I can have near-instantaneous drainage , however, it has been my experience that it does not dry out any faster than...
People keep walking away with my plants, and I need to figure out how to keep that from happening. The only option I can think of at this point is to put a security kit on each pot. It's going to be expensive, and look bad, but I can't keep having plants walk away, nor can I place them anywhere...
I've read a lot on dormancy but the information I've read is kinda general. I've got other care info down pat for VFT's at this point, but this one is still a big hole for me, so I'd like to fill it.
I seem to really have two dormancy options. (I'm in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, 90 miles west of...
This site has all state driver's licenses on it, viewable by anyone. I did a search on mine, and sure enough I was on it - but there is an option to have it removed, which I requested. It's worth a look!
