Thanks in advance for the help.

While repotting my G. hispidula today, I decided to disect a trap.
For those not familiar with genlesia trapping mechanisms, here is a pic of one of the underground stolons. The tiny bugs who find themselves in anaerobic conditions make their way up the corkscrews in search of oxygen. Then they...

Well, after the first flower stalk was eaten by scale insects, and the second almost eaten by scale insects. Finally my G. hispidula has flowered. I got a few photos in before I broke the flower scape off by getting too close with the camera ( I don't have zoom ).
Anyway, here are some...
I see people sharing their methods for growing Genlisea in another thread, so I thought I would chip in. I have never had any problem growing them, except for the fact that I find it necessary to transplant them if I want growth to continue. I believe this is similar to Utrics where its good to...

Thanks,
Nick
I have been wanting to try growing Genlisea for quite a while now, but I would like to choose my first plant carefully. Are there any experienced growers out there who would like to throw there $0.02 in as to which is the best species with which to start. I'm not an inexerienced grower of other...
