My G. hispidula self pollinates. I have never done anything special and the seed capsules are full of seed. As the seed capsule turns from green to brownish and splits open is when I cut it from the spike and spread the seeds on fresh soil. In a few weeks (or months), small seedlings appear. I occasionally find volunteer seedlings showing up in other pots, so it seems to be easy to reproduce from fresh seed.
