Pyro's super spring spectacular trade off.

Okay, here is the deal. I have a bunch of stuff to get rid of. Read the rule because I do not have time to hold hands on this one 1) I am not in a mad frantic rush so you don't necessarily have to be either. This is not first come first served. Take your time, check you collections, get your...

    Pinguicula gypsicola

Most of my Pinguicula gypsicola have grown into these 4.0 - 4.5 cm diameter buttons. Very interesting growth pattern. With cooler temperatures this season, they've grown even thicker than usual.

question on leaf pullings on narrow leaf plants

Ok, here's a question on leaf pullings.... do any of you trim down the leaves of some the narrow leaf ping species and hybrids before propagation? I'm talking about P. moctezumae, P. gypsicola and their hybrids. Many times it seems that the leaf dies back before producing plantlets, so i...

    Community Pots of fascinating plants

Following is a photo, just taken (20Dec06) of 5 - 2 inch (10 cm) community pots of (Pinguicula 'Sethos' x Pinguicula gypsicola). To me, these plants are just amazing. BTW, these are not seedlings, but propagations by leaf-pullings.

    P. 'Sethos' x P. gypsicola

I received my start of this clone in trade with Pyro. Thank you Pyro. Curious how I produced about a dozen divisions of this same clone, yet only 2 of them have grown this large, the others have remained about 2 inches across and have yet to flower. This one is in a mix of 1/2 perlite and 1/2...

    Cultivating Mexican Pinguicula

I was recently asked for the following information, so I decided to share it with everyone: P.S. Some species respond favorably to the addition of coral sand, but not all. Piinguicula gypsicola is one that does. Additional comments: Whenever growth appears to be slowing, I dust the leaves...
