I don't believe I've seen many Genlisea posts on Terraforums, so here's mine.
Yes, there's a flower.
And a U. quelchii, just for fun (yes, it's not much... yet :water: ) :
I sowed some Genlisea seed of some earlier seed pods, but they're supposed hard to germinate.
Thanks for looking!
Hi i am looking for Genlisea pygmea and wanted to know if anyone has it. I really want this species and want any info i can get. Thanks and seed will aso be accepted.:) I can trade for some Genlisea hispidula.
The first was a plug of moss I planted for my little girl, but I do not remember where it came from. I thought it was only moss - imagine my surprise when these leaves popped out. A genlisea or a utric? type?
The second came to me as nelumbifolia, but the more I read the more I question this...

At the moment I've just constricted my haphazardly growing collection to two four clean, well-lighted 10-gallon tanks, getting rid of plants I didn't really like. This is my updated growlist for now.

Saturday, Nov. 17th is yet another Scorpio birthday! :D This time it is our esteemed Noah Elhardt...long-time forum member and dedicated, hard-working Head of PR and Education for NASC!
I've known Noah since he was about 14. (And he's HOW old now??!!). At that tender age, Noah was the first...
My friend had a colony of Genlisea, and cut out part of it and gave it to me. I put it in a small pot filled with organic sphagnum peat moss, and put the pot in a tray with water. I know NOTHING about caring for Genlisea, and I need to know how to grow them. Do they need humidity? What about...
Out of date pic of the leaves...
Flower Stalk
Splitting buds?
