Has anyone ever seen a binata or other forked sundew split into 3 branches? My binata "Giant T-Form" has just put out a new leaf and it has 3 branches. darndest thing you ever saw!
Any sort of explanation for this behavior?
Sam

Greetings,
I was wondering what sundews are happy in a cool, humid terrarium. The daytime highs are between 70-75F. At night the temp. drops down to 60-65F. The humidity during the day is 70-80%, and 90% at night.
I am mostly interested in rosetted subtropical sundews. I have D...
Here is what I am wanting to trade for these plants: Any Utricularia except the commons (livida, etc.) especially humboldtii; any Drosera (especially pygmies) except the commons such as capensis, spat, and the forked ones; ANY pings.
These are freshly made unrooted cutting from mature, huge...
Hi guys!
MY capensis has been sening up two flower spikes... but one of them is "forked" and producing two sets of bud for the price of one! ^_^
Is it supposed to do that? Or am I lucky and should just be happy I'll have more flowers? =) Anyway, I think it's pretty nice regardless.
Ok, the seeds were set earlier then I thought, these are crosses between my T and forked form so I don't know what the babies will look like for sure. So far two buds have split open and I must have thousands of seeds so far... So everyone who is interested will eventually get seeds. Everyone...
I have a Drosera binata that has been blooming now for a month. This is probably a multifida judging by the forked bloom stalk and the newest two leaves forming an additional fork on one side.
Anyway, I am sure that seed is being produced due to a swelling of the ovary after the blooms finish...
sorry, I'm in a punny post sort of mood. I got a forked sundew from Steve at the Miejer Gardens over spring break and it's quickly become my most favoretist dew. Since I already had a spoon leafed sundew from last viset it occurs to me that I must find a species whose commen name inclued Knife...
hello all,
i'm new to this list but am delighted to have found it. i'm a student at CSU Humboldt and was pointed here by the local CP enthusiasts.
i currently don't have a great deal to trade; i think the d. capensis narrow leaf alba seeds i posted have all been claimed at this point. i...
Dang, I've never had so many sundew flowers. It must be the new conditions . Anyway, I have a D. intermedia, and two forked sundews floweing. The problem is, I need to know if I can get seed from the forked sundews, and then how to grow the seeds. All the forked sundews are from plant that died...
Ok... I have admittedly ignored Sundews far to long, and I am attempting to rectify this nepenthes addiction driven oversight.
So I have some D. Binata growing out on my patio, and they are happily gobbling up everything in site, flies, gnats, mosquitoes, you name it... it's it's around, it's...
Hello,
I got a drosera binata from the pft liquidation sale. it just came out of dormancy. The first leaf was one forked, but the 2nd leaf has 4 forks!!!!!!!! I'll post a photo and edit it onto here later
Hey gang, here's a pic of my Marston Dragon. Does anyone have any reason to believe this isn't a Marston Dragon?
These first two are old pics, the last one is more current.
I did root cuttings of my main plant and here are the babies. They aren't as forked as the mature plant, but...
The first four leaves it put out forked only once. No suprise there. The next two leaves forked once then one blade on each of those forked again. OK, I thought, my luck I get a wierd plant. These last two leaves have both forked twice. Is this typical for D. binata. This is the first time...
Hi Guys and Gals,
Wondering if anyone can help me out here. I have a pot of D. Spatulata that I got over the internet. Nice, healthy plants making lots of babies .
Questiong is: Two seedlings don't look like the other ones. They almost look like forked sundews of some sort... I think they...
