I'm Kevin and I live in New Albany, Indiana (which is in the southern part of Indiana). I've been growing carnivorous plants for about four months or so. My love affair began as a child, when I massacred many venus flytraps. About four months ago, I decided to pick up a purple pitcher plant from...

Anybody have this before? It looks like this capensis has two sets of flowers forming on the same stalk. This'll come in handy when the typical 400 billion cape seeds just won't do.
(please pardon the horrible cell phone pic)
I have a drosera capensis that doesn't seem to be doing well. The leaves had red hairs when I got it, but there is not much of that left. It has never produced any dew that I could see. Lately, some of the new growth has developed black tips. I have the cape and 4 other CPs in a terrarium with...
I'm looking to buy a carnivorous plant for my dorm room. However, I'm not sure how much light I will have. For example, I'm not sure whether my window will have adequate lighting. However, I have a lamp that has florescent lighting, and it had successfully grown several CPs before.
A couple...

Packet is of about 20-30 Drosera trinervia seeds.
Drosera trinervia is supposed to be the easiest to cultivate of the winter growing South African Drosera. The parent plants have white flowers. Under plenty of sun the plants will take on red hue. The seeds are supposed to be slow to germinate...
This is an auction specifically geared towards those of you who have just entered the carnivorous plant experience.
Up for grabs is a book: The Savage Garden by Peter D'Amato. This is widely regarded as the "Bible" of carnivorous plant cultivation, and is a must have for new growers.

I've had the opportunity to participate in a few trades here and there and have paused to think back on some experiences.
Most recently, I put out a request for some help. I must have started to type it out on 3 or 4 different occasions, but it felt weird. My collection took a hit from what...

Hi All,
I'm putting up this list- I'm trying to gauge how to go about doing this: I'm hoping to offer the following to those in the general area where I live, near Philadelphia, PA, or anyone who wants to come here from where ever, as I'm pretty sure some would drive a bit for some of these...
Hello All!
Nepenthes donated a couple of his Nep's to me and I'm pretty new to CP's.
I just wanted to post some pic's of the Ventricosa because there are some brown spots on the leaves which might be from the acclimating or maybe sun burn since he had it as an outside and I'm trying it as an...
I don't know if this has already been posted, but apparently a new species was discovered in Cape York by Charles Clark "and a colleague" (Chien C Lee?). Anyway, here is a link to the article.
