I have about half a packet left of seeds from Sarracenia Northwest that are labled as "Sarracenia Hybrid". I have no clue about what they are, but they're CPs so all is good.
I have about half of seeds sitting in the fridge and have no need for the rest of them. The packet said "100 seeds" so...

I AM SO HAPPY!
so, here is what happened, I was on vacation and people were taking care of my cps. But, there was a week of really super hot days and my cape sundew turned black
but just yesterday when I got back I saw that they had moved it inside and there was new growth emerging from the stem...
I have a cape sundew that will not flower. I've had it for about 8 yrs when I received it as a stowaway with another plant. It's a beautiful "typical" that has produced many off shoots from the roots, I have about 12 plants all growing together now. I keep it in a "natural" terrarium (no pots)...
It seems that some other forums aren't interested in this offer. Their loss.
I just got an order from Sarr Northwest this week and I love it. Problem is, this is my first attempt at live sphagnum and since I've put my plans to install a bog garden on hold I seem to find myself with way more...
Duct tape suggested for spacewalk repair
AP - Tue Jul 11, 6:52 AM ET
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - Even in space, a little duct tape may work wonders. Astronaut Piers Sellers suggested using some of the multipurpose sticky material to fix a safety-jet backpack used during spacewalks after it almost...
Just a thought.
Apparently, I've read that D. capensis has established itself as a semi-weed in part of CA, crowding out native sundews. Has anyone seen them grow in the wild? If so, why are they still being sold at competitive prices from nurseries? I mean, I can't imagine any market for...
I just decided to post this because I always enjoy looking at how other people's plants are progressing. Hopefully others do too!
My Cape Sundews went through a lot the past few months. When I moved in November, I had them away from my window on a tall armoire. I was busy with the new house &...
Can you believe? Some good news.
Croatan Game Lands will soon increase by 40 acres
I'm sure there are other cp's on this land. I have never found a cp site that vft was the only cp. I'll get to this site this summer and get some pics.
Today, I decided to take some pics of my cape dews. My largest one is making another flower. It made its first one about a month after I got it, then I cut it off. Now, a month later, there is another flower, so I'm just gonna leave it.
Here's my plant's little developing flower:
And here's...
Today I noticed this little teeny stalk emerging from my clump of U. livida. The funny thing is that my Cape Dew is also sending up a stalk (cept I cut it off). I'll try to get a pic when it opens. It's just in time for Christmas, I guess!

Hey everyone. I have seen many pics of D. scorpiodes on this forum, and everyone claims they're very easy to grow. Would they thrive in a terrarium with conditions that a cape 'dew is thriving in?
Also, what kind of soil mix do they like? And do they appreciate water-logged soil...
Well, I have a 10 gal. terrarium, and before, it had about 56 watts of light, and the humidity would stay around 60%-65%. But, now, I have got 82 watts, and the humidity goes down to 50%-55% or so, so I had to move the glass on the tank to raise the humidity, though it didn't do much, and my...

Hello all,
I have a new, very young purpurea (less than 3" across) that was producing new pitchers in July. In the past few weeks, however, I haven't seen a single new pitcher emerge. Some of the older pitchers are slowly turning brown, which I understand is normal. Should the plant still be...
Well, by 'elsewhere i mean new Zealand, when virtually every other plant capable of living is invasive (exaggeration)
