I've noticed some nice pitchers developing in good colors. These plants are new in my care and they really brighten me up. Glad I've been poisoned into Neps ha!
Nepenthes Viking : From a friend has color very nicely. Here's the development.

Hello there. This forum appears to be a great resource. I am COMPLETELY new to this hobby with zero experience with bog plants and carnivorous plants of any kind. I am, however, an avid hobbyist in the aquarium world for many years and seasoned forum user.
Wanted to drop by and say hello...
I spent this weekend visiting different CP sites throughout New England. The first stop was a failed attempt to see Pinguicula vulgaris in New Hampshire with Natch. The site is at the top of a large talus slope. We were able to get about 3/4 of the way up but then got stuck at a thick treeline...
Hey guys I'm new here, just saying hi looking around. Looks Like a great place you guys got here. I collect all types of plants mostly rarish and exotic.
This nepenthes is my newest baby, not so rare or exotic but I didn't have a nepenthes so I grabbed it. Not sure how old it is I've only had...
Succulent package
This package contains:
1 Echeveria Black Prince cutting
Good-sized/mature cutting. Would not be unreasonable to expect them to bloom this winter/spring. Full sun is necessary for best coloration.
10 Echeveria runyonii Topsy Turvy cuttings
Smallish cuttings which I would...
In a never-ending quest to make more room in my GH for my CP collection, I'm starting to pare down extras and less desirable (to me, at least) non-CP:
1. Gasteria fuscopunctata - a large plant with lots of babies. Originally from the University of South Florida Botanical Garden in Tampa...
As a thanks to everyone who has donated to the recent NASC auction, I am giving away a Drosera prolifera to one lucky winner. The plant is fully mature and has several flower stalks ready to make some baby dews. I grow it in an open top fish bowl in live sphagnum. I can post pictures this...
Hi everyone i'm pretty new to the forum. i used to have about 20 nepenthes but i went away and lost most of them now i only have 4. i have a n. Truncata, n. alata, n. miranda and a n. Maxima x Lowii. The have been going downhill lately especially my alata. I was wondering if anyone could give me...
Just a few shots from my modest collection. Sorry for the poor photo quality, my photography skills are not what someone would describe as "up to par".
D. scorpioides gemmae sprouting - many thanks, jonnyq!
N. ventricosa looking quite robust.
N. ventricosa - different clone
Baby...
Just curious if anyone else is growing this hybrid. (hint hint, nudge nudge: show us pictures!) I really love how the peristome is initially striped, but then darkens like the spathulata mother. It's an easy and quick grower as well, I can't wait for the uppers!
For those of you who looked at...
After splitting my rubras a couple months ago, I ended up with twelve plants! I've given some to friends but still have 6 extra I'm willing to give up. Last summer, they were making pitchers 5-7 inches tall.
I also have 2 purpurea venosa's I'd like to trade. One purpurea is a baby with pitches...
Well, I started noticing black dots on my plant a few days ago. Now I realize it's bug poo... I think.
Then this morning one of my leaf looked really efed up, so I started taking a closer look.
BAM, found his little sucker. He also ate some of my baby pitchers and leaf.... :(
Sooooo, is it...

icps says pom pom's special leaf can be reactivated by making baby plants ( by leaf pulling)

October pics taken before winter weather shut everything down. A week of overnight temps below freezing has sent all but the hardiest into hibernation.

To kick things off, here are some photos of my visit to Vietnam.

I ordered some drosera rotundifolia from a guy on eBay and I suspect they were poached. They came in sphagnum with some typical detritus and even found a baby leech in it. The plants themselves were unkempt and missing parts of their root system. As well as being very stout, and having very...
I was checking my moss trays for new growth, when I found 2-3 bright green venus flytraps the size of a nickel. They are in pure LFS under a 4x2000 lumens grow set up, moss is live and is watered from the side so that the enclosure is nearly flooded. Is this a good setup for them, and how...
