Well, it has only been a few weeks since I first saw new growth on the plants; and, finally, some functional traps have been produced -- the first since November. Now, it will take a few months in the California sun for them to put on some size and color . . .

Happy Sunday, folks!
I'm downsizing my big ol' grow rack down to a terrarium and I have a ton of plants that have become weeds in my collection, so I'm "trimming the fat" to make sure everything can fit in the smaller space!
I have 12 plants that need to go. Descriptions & pics are below...
A dear friend sent two plants and I have allowed both to flower.
One of the flower stalk has produced an offshoot. Should I remove it and try it as a cutting? And how should I cut it? TIA!
Here was an interesting find from this morning -- the presence of live aphids in a six-week old culture. The section of flower-stalk that had been put into media was about 3 cm long, a single strand; and the bud was then as tight as a drum. To add insult to injury, the stalk -- from plants grown...

Here's what it looked like when I got it. Two of the leaves died and I thought it was over. So I'm happy to see it making this...

Here is a pleasant surprise from the back of the shelf: a B52 culture that began as a late-season flower stalk back in August of 2011. It was grown in a simple media without any plant growth regulators (hormones) whatsoever; and I forgot about it until I was cleaning up this morning.
To give an...
