Hi everybody
I have been a little absent this week as I have been sick...so sorry if I've been tardy in replies to PMs and such.
Well I must say this year's auction has just been a whirlwind! I am blown away by the generosity of all the participants. There are SO many awesome items in the...
Hi All,
I just thought I would point out that Dom Gravine in the guise of his buddies addresses, and ebay and email accounts has been auctioning off alot of plants on Ebay lately. First under the name Orchidstar87 and now Borneancanableo6. Mostly he has been listing items recently received...
Up for bid is a 11x15 watercolor painting by Mississippi Artist Mrs. Sheila Stewart. This painting is signed and dated by the artist. Mrs. Stewart will be painting a special piece for all upcoming NASC auctions, so we hope to turn this into somewhat of a tradition. She is a very talented...
Up for auction is a collection of my (now somewhat famous, at least here at the NASC auctions) jams & sauces.....
1 jar strawberry jam (12 oz or 16 oz, depending on the jars I have)
1 jar green grape jam (12 oz or 16 oz, depending on the jars I have)
1 container (about 4 oz or so) of my Firey...

Bid increments are used in order to prevent people outbidding by just a penny or few pennies. This helps make tracking bids easier and reduces the number of bids (i.e....doesn't take 100 bids to advance $1), especially frivolous bids. It is standard in both auction houses and on-line auctions...
Woohoo! It's coming up! :banana2:
The SIXTH ANNUAL NASC Benefit Auction 2009 is a'coming!
The auction space is kindly donated by TerraForums discussion boards;NASC will have its own forum for the auction.
Many of you are old hat with the auction and know the ropes. But for the newbs, here is...
So, as you may or may not have noticed, during the last major forum revamping (not this very recent one), we were blessed with the world of tagged threads. I think the NASC auction would be a perfect time to put tags to good use. I got the idea from a recent flickr contest where all the photos...
Hi y'all
I don't know how many have seen this post by Lois but Bugweed is trying to make good on his cancelled auctions back in 2006 when he had some personal issues that caused him to "bug out" so to speak.
Lois Ochs now has his plants under her stewardship and she is trying to send all the...
Hi everybody
Since the forums were down for about 3 days, we have extended the payment period.
**All items won must be paid for by TODAY, July 24th. That's 30 + 3 DAYS. Times up!
If you have made special arrangements with the donor and Dave, our Treasurer, please note that in the listing...
Just a quick note as I need to GO HOME...but I will not have internet access until Monday. :-/
For those with auctions, I have NOT forgotten nor am I ignoring you! If I can get access over the weekend, I will attend to business but this has been a very long day and I need to get home. I...
It’s not much to look at, but here’s a pitcher of a 2-year old plant that I hybridized, N. Splendiana x Mixta. It’s my first attempt at hybridizing, so I feel like a proud parent. Those who won one of the 10 NASC auctions for “Nepenthes Seeds” will get a bonus packet of these seeds. Don’t...
Y'all are the best folks in the world. Talk about conservation minded!
Obviously we don't know totals yet, but y'alls generosity has surpassed previous NASC auctions!
Last year we had 163 listings (donations) covering 8 pages. This year we have over 180 so far that hits 10 pages! And new...

If you sell stuff on ebay like I do, things just got crappier...
I went to leave feedback on my recent auctions (actually buys not sales) and a notice popped up that sellers can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers. Say someone wins your auction and decides they aren't going to pay up...

Has anyone noticed that beginning this summer ebay auctions for cephs have been skyrocketing? plants that once went for about $30 or $40 are now going in the $100 to $200 range (even tiny new crown growth cephs are going for $50). any theories on this?
Hello inquisitive (or bored) one!
Tomorrow (technically today...) I am going to endo-doc's house. I messaged him on eBay like I did Chuck7935 about the NASC auctions and he invited me to his house since he lives only 18 miles away, tomorrow I will go at 12:00 - 1:00 PM.
I'm sure many of you...
Droseraguy offered a free mystery dew with with one of his auctions so it gave me the idea to offer one up for bid.
I'll give hints to this mystery dew, but I will not give it's true ID until it is received by the winner. If you can ID this from the description then please don't post it and...
