Unidentified Growing Object in my garden

I found a scattering of a strange, red carnivorous plant that puts me in mind of the Rafflesia sp. Flies are attracted to it, but I didn't notice any rotten smell. I have not been able to find a picture of anything else like it. They range from 3cm - 5cm across, and are grow almost flat on the mulch. If anyone knows what they are I'll be stoked! Thanks All, Bec.

Thankyou so much Pyro. The answer and the link you provided were perfect. It seems others in the region that I live in are getting them pop up in their gardens also. Well, it's spring after all. I actually think they're more interesting than most of the plants. Cheers! From Bec in Oz.
