Spots on Sarracenia Purpurea

Hey,
I am wondering if anyone knows what is causing the spots on the new and old pitchers.
Any responses will be appreciated!

My best guess is that it is a sap sucking or aphid type damage, the brown being where the plant has been bitten and the red is teh plants anthocyanin production.
It doesnt look like there are any there now, but if you're worried spray with a systemic pest control, I use Provado and it works well.
