Sphagnum moss terrarium care

So I recently got my highland terrarium, however as it set me back a fair few pounds I haven't yet added any sphagnum moss. As I like to find out how to care for plants before buying them, I'm wondering how I keep the LSM alive whilst in the terrarium, will i need to water it or can it live off spraying and any overrunning water from my CPs?
On a side note, I plan on having a layer of sand at the bottom of the terrarium covered by some plastic pond liner or something similar so they don't need to stand on pots to be closer to the lighting, would this pose any problems?

Thanks for any advice! :D

Sand should be no problem. You'll just have to see if spraying and/or runoff is sufficient to keep the moss moist enough from drying out. If not, supplement with additional watering.

Thanks for the quick response! Thats good to know, cheers!
