Here's some recent pics, from May 28:

S. minor x psittacina

What I believe to be an all green clone of S. x moorei.  The plant wasn't labelled when I got it.  Flowers were reddish though.

S. x 'Hummer's Hammerhead'

S. oreophila

S. (oreophila x purpurea) x leucophylla.  Reminiscent of Judith Hindle.

S. (oreophila 'Sand Mtn' x flava) x leucophylla

S. x catesbaei  F2

S. (rubra x oreophila) x (oreophila x flava).

S. flava

Lastly, an unknown hybrid.  Leucophylla x something or another, probably another hybrid.  It has pink flowers, if that helps anyone.  My current gut feeling is something like leucophylla x (alata x oreophila).

Yes, that is all one plant and two of the growing points withered and die this spring too. Friends of mine, knowing my obsession, brought me that plant. They found it in an obscure nursery in south carolina all the way in the back under a bench. I think they said they paid $20.00 for it. They bought one too.

Spec,

I know where there are lots of them that size in "my" local bog. They grow in massive clones, maybe 20 pitchers per clump. The problem is they grow aquatically right in the center of the bog where there is open water. You step and sink to the waist to get to them, but they are AMAZING. I have a deep seated fear that they will eventually end up on ebay, but so far they seem to be ignored.

Why do you fear they wil end up on ebay? Are their poachers there? Have you ever tried to collect seed?
